Research Interests

David specializes in environmental and resource policy and economics, with an emphasis on water resource management. Recent research has covered:

  • the relationship between economic growth and resource consumption
  • economic valuation of natural resources
  • incentives for conservation, and
  • policy and politics of transboundary waters

In addition, David has also conducted research on issues such as international trade and the environment, green building, and transportation policy.
